Shalom My Gantseh Megillah Family, and Friends. Welcome to Issue #281 of the Weekly Gantseh Megillah.
This weekly edition of the Megillah is abbreviated due, once again, to heath issues. As many of you already know, I have been awaiting a surgical procedure to remove a blockage in my Common Bile Duct that is causing problems with my liver and leaving me open to major infection.
Last week I was finally able to make arrangements, via my endocrinologist, to have the procedure performed this past Monday. I was to check into hospital Friday evening for preparation.
As luck would have it, and a bit of clumsiness, while waddling my way to the bathroom I took a major fall and the surgery had to be postponed until I recover some of my mobility, which is proving to be a slow process. At least I have a definite plan with my doctor, that as soon as I am able to ambulate better, I am to call his office, and he will make arrangements to have me admitted very soon thereafter, so there should be no more long delays in this procedure.
Once again, I must thank everyone in our Megillah family who has sent their good wishes via email, cards, phone calls and of course your financial donations to our work. If you care to make a contribution please do so by going to http://www.pass.to/newsletter/tzedakeh.htm. This is another reason why I refer to all of you as my Megillah family, and Arnold and I love you for it.
I shall of course, keep you posted. In the meanwhile please enjoy the five stories we have selected for your reading pleasure this week.
Much love to all of you,
Michael
