Michael

My father's (and mother's) Autobiography has been published:
"My Future is in America" ... The Book Party will be held March 2, from 4-7 pm in Manhattan at... 15W 16 St.... You are all invited: My Future is in America: Autobiographies of Eastern European Jewish Immigrants (KUSNETZ)

FROM THE PUBLISHER

In 1942, the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research held a contest for the best autobiography by a Jewish immigrant on the theme "Why I Left the Old Country and What I have Accomplished in America." Chosen from over two hundred entries and translated from Yiddish, the nine life stories in My Future Is in America provide a compelling portrait of East European and American Jewish life in the immigrant generation at the turn of the twentieth century. Celebrate with us!

"My Future is in America" (Eastern European Immigrants' autobiographies from l942) has just been published.. Why is this interesting? My father's story, as well as my mother's story, has been published, together with photos. My father, Chaim (Hyman) Kusnetz, is the published Yiddish author of: Mentsch un Mides, A Mentsch Tracht, and also Fun Aneym's a Tug Buch. He also wrote for Der Tug and for the Yiddish Forvertz (as A. Duboier)...Perhaps our readers have heard of my dad, and would be interested in this book... the BOOK PARTY is being held on 3/2/06 at the Center for Jewish History, 15 W. 16 St., NY NY ...
4-7 p.m. Friends and Relatives are all cordially invited to attend.
Thanks! Suzie Kusnetz ronbobele@earthlink.net
