     Attitude of Gratitude
Michael dear: I just read your editorial and it certainly resonated with me. I tell myself that every day here. I have a dear friend who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer after Thanksgiving and is having a horrendous time. I was planning to visit her but she is not up to company. For a very short time, she's been on chemo but it made her worse, so now she's going off it and planning to move into a hospice. The only good part is she is surrounded by loving family. I feel dreadful about losing her--it is just the luck of the draw that this happened to her and not to me. And I wish with all my heart it hadn't happened to her. This is a woman I love--I met her at the Skidmore College Judaic program I attended one summer several years ago. We have to count our blessings every day for our lives and our loved ones, of whom you, Arnold and Rosco (not in that order:)) are ones. Sonia Sonia Pressman Fuentes
Editor-> Dear Sonia, My heart goes out to your dear friend. I certainly understand the pain you are experiencing as you watch this important person in your life slip away. We must all be thankful for the good in our lives and appreciate the people who share our existence. Michael
