     Constructive Criticism
As a columnist here, I wish that more of our readers would write to us. However, it saddens me to see how many of the notes we receive reveal little more than the bad tempers of their authors. It is possible to discuss issues without committing the sin of Loshen Hara. Certainly, it is true that being vulgar in Yiddish is no more acceptable than in English. After several years of friendship, I can assure one and all that Michael and Arnold are dedicated to doing their best with this labor of love that is the Megillah. With the best will in the world, some errors and oversights are bound to occur. How much better it would be if those of you in our Megillah family would address them in a spirit of caring and cooperation. Next week, we will observe the Fast of Av. This is not only a time to mourn, but also to be grateful to G-d who has brought us through so much. Let us be gentle to one another, and a light unto the nations. Eddy Robey
Editor-> Dear Eddy, Thank you for your kind and supportive words concerning all of our efforts. I too wish we heard from more of our readers and that they would convey their opinions and wishes in a constructive and helpful manner. I am happy to say that for the most part, the vast majority of our Megillah family members show great loyalty and appreciation for our work. Michael
