Esther Kaplan's Column
If you printed Esther Kaplan's comments on the Palestinian situation with the desire to be even handed, where then is the rebuttal column? It certainly was not in the same issue, and I do not recall reading it in any of the issues that have appeared online. While Ms. Kaplan is entitled to her opinions, she is not entitled to ignore the facts, which I believe she has conveniently done. However, I will not get into a debate concerning her obviously one sided opinion. There are, however, people better suited to rebut her comments. Please be aware that I do not agree with everything the current Israeli government does, and I am no George Bush lover, but for the sake of fairness, you need to offer a fair sided discussion of this issue. So far as I can tell, you haven't.
Editor-> Dear Alan, I appreciate your comments concerning this article. The Megillah presents many different views and opinions in both the monthly and weekly editions of the publication. I do not permit my personal viewpoints to influence the artilces presented in the Megillah. However, the purpose of the journal is to expose readers to various thoughts and ideas. There is no attempt to grant "equal time" as this would require me to seek out various views, simultaneously in each issue. That is not the purpose nor mandate of the Megillah. Michael
