Thanks for that(Weekly Megillah June 18, 2004)! I find this quote from the article on the escalating home prices in the "hasidim shtetl" interesting: "The morality [of the yuppies/ hipsters] is not acceptable to our people," said one rabbi. "It's dangerous for our children." a) who is "our people", and why does this shmuck think he can speak on behalf of them? b) what gives anyone the right to judge the "morality" of another: c) what the #@$! is a "hipster"? For anyone to use the term "hipster" nowadays means that this poor bastid is *way* out of touch with reality. perhaps he should move to mea shearim - away from all those pesky "hipsters".
