     The Conservative Jewish movement
What do we Reconstructionists know that the Conservatives don't? We both daven (pretty much) the same. We both use practically the same siddurim, except the Reconstructionists' siddur (Kol Hanshemah) is gender neutral. Why does the term "conservative" seem to mean "unable to grasp reality"? You'd think the mascot of the Conservative movement was an ostrich, instead of an elephant. At least elephants move forward, albeit slowly. Shabbat shalom to you both!
Editor-> Dear Yvette, I too wonder why the conservatives always seem to be the last group to embrace inclusion. They appear to often look for reason NOT to do something rather than positive motivations for change.
