	Yiddish Theatre
Dear Michael, I was fortunate enough to have been in many Yiddish theater performances both on Second Avenue and off Pitken Ave in Brooklyn. My most vivid memories of the people who made Yiddish theatre and Yiddish Radio, in NY, took place at the Arbiter Farband camp near Kingston, NY. The children's camp wad Kindervelt, supervised by Tzve Schooler, the voice of Yiddish radio and the Adult section was Unser Camp. This was a pre Israel Zionist camp. Some of the people I was privileged to meet were the family of Boris Thomashefski, the impresario of Second Ave. and Sholom Secunda who wrote Bi Mir Bist Du Shain. It is a shame Yiddish is no longer a viable language here in the USA.
