Your editorial was so on target vis-à-vis the possibility of war. Our administration - if I may paraphrase -is in a bellicose state of mind. For those of us who have lived through war(s) the thought of more such conflicts is numbing. The United States must not be the schoolyard bully who, if he can't stir up things with Iraq will turn to someone else, in this case, Korea. I was further struck by your comments on our duty to preserve and nurture our planet and I would like to add, to all of those who dwell upon it. I pray that we will approach this coming year with sighs of relief at disaster averted, and it is words such as yours that allow us to hope. With much love and wishes for sanity in the coming year.
