About homosexuals and the holocaust: for Holocaust Memorial Day, San Jose State University (SJSU) Hillel did a visual demonstration of those killed by getting garden flags, the kind you put near a sprinkler when you are moving heavy equipment through the garden and don't want the equipment mulching your underground sprinklers. They cost about $.10 each. SJSU Hillel bought them in several colors. One flag represented 8,000 killed. They didn't include armed forces and civilians killed, just those intentionally killed as undesirable. Anyway I was surprised because I didn't know that Jehovah's Witnesses were included as worthy of wiping out, along with gypsies, the disabled ... They then had a sign explaining the demonstration which you could see many students stopping to read. It was brilliant. Sign: 1 flag = 8,000 killed color yellow 5,860,000 Jews green 400,000 Roma (gypsies) white 70,000 Disabled blue 20,000 Jehovah Witnesses red 15,000 Homosexuals orange 1,034 Catholic Clergy (One of the colors on the sign lost color outdoors.) I think it was such a good idea that it should be duplicated on Holocaust Day everywhere it can.
