Ehud Barak

Last night I was horrified by the news on IBA's Chanel One. They showed an area they called perfectly protected by cement covering and walls, nice and large enough for cyclists and "normal life." Then they visually compared homes with what was described as "protection" versus the damaged "unprotected" ones, making their message clear that life can go on in "safety" with the right "equipment," which includes the Iron Dome. Theater of the Absurd? I wish it was just some theatrical parody!

Unfortunately this is the government of Likud's Binyamin Netanyahu! All of you who voted for Likud got Labor's Ehud Barak. The Moshe Feiglin people should be supporting and pushing the Ichud Le'umi, National Union into a political party gearing itself for national leadership, not harping from the peanut gallery. If Kadima had managed to put together the coalition with Likud in the opposition, the Likud would have been more nationalist, pro-Land of Israel, Right rather than Center-Left. No Israeli political party has done more damage to the Land of Israel than the Likud under Menachem Begin, Ariel Sharon and Binyamin Netanyahu.

Voting Likud into power is like those old TV game shows where you choose a prize, which may be worth a lot or a little. You have no way of knowing. Voting Likud into power is a no-brainer, because you never get what their ideology and platform had promised.

Well, this isn't Egypt, Libya etc. We're not going to riot in the streets in protest. But we can't ignore the fact that we chose the booby-prize, and we're going to have to do something about it.

There's a war going on. Israel is being attacked, and all our Defense Minister Ehud Barak has to say is "Restraint is Strength," and if you don't like it leave.

Ehud, you first! I'd like to see who follows if you say:

"Acharai, after me."
