Editor-> I also receive all kinds of hoaxes from mostly well meaning people who get caught up in erroneous information. In all honesty I did not do a lot of personal research regarding the Colin Powell story. The source I received it from is generally quite credible and any way, it's certainly a lovely story and if it turns out to be untrue after all, no one is really harmed by it. Of course, I prefer to present factual accounts in the Megillah unless otherwise stated but in this case I made the judgment call to take my chances with it. I hope you enjoyed it.

Does the fact that you published the story about Powell mean that you checked it out and think it is true? I have been sent so many hoaxes I have developed a sceptical side to myself.
