     Points of View
Your insight & views are very enlightening & fair. As far as religion in politics, that's a no-no for me. There is separation of state & religion & that's as it should be. However, for Lieberman to make reference to his religion on one hand is good...too many non-Jews don't know what "we" are all about. Perhaps, through him the non-Jews will have more understanding of our beliefs & ideals...with which they can identify themselves. But, most important are Lieberman's political views & opinions & goals. I am in dread of Bush's so-called religious views. It seems to me he is of the same mind as Pat Robertson & groups who believe that America is a Christian country. And, the facts you have about how many people in America believe in God, I question. We've got so much hatred & bigotry & street crimes & more than that... I don't think that many people really believe in God & live by God's commandments. It's easy to say "Yes, I believe in God" & that makes everything o.k. We have to be good & fair & honest & live with each other in peace & destroy all these hate crimes & street crimes...with or without religion. This is a presidential election, not an election of a religious leader. I hope we all vote accordingly. I appreciate that you allow my input.
